Livelihood interventions seek to ensure that displaced people can earn a safe and sustainable living to meet their basic needs. Sustainable livelihoods contribute to their dignity and provide for full enjoyment of their human rights.
Livelihoods are the capabilities, possessions and endeavors required for people to earn money and secure a means of living.
For over 25 years we have been committed to providing sustainable livelihoods for those who need it most through Vocational training, small shops, farming support and other innovative projects.
Key focus areas
- Review and improve Muslim Hands existing vocational training centers, with particular focus on providing youth with in-demand market skills including short courses, such as web development, app design and graphic design
- Providing technical toolkit packages to recent graduates of technical training institutes and support their integration into the job-business market
- Expand and utilize the great charity gift scheme to help create valuechain for the beneficiaries of the project, in particular focus on sustainable agriculture and rural farming communities (e.g. connecting farmers to the marketing).
